Founded in 1940, when we say we have decades of experience, we really mean it. Since then, our team, and our love for flowers, has only grown. Our diverse team is made up of incredibly talented and skilled professionals and we excel at the best of both worlds; design and service.
Day-to-day, you can catch us meeting with brides, designing everyday floral arrangements, and cheering on fellow entrepreneurs & industry vendors. We also have a heart for sustainability and seek to use modern mechanics to avoid waste while sourcing locally whenever possible.

Getting here has been a wild ride. I grew up in Ohio and moved to Miami to get my BFA at Miami International University of Art & Design. I stayed in Miami for seven years and traveled around the world a couple times.
These days, I'm the same visionary with a bit more roots. I really love brick and mortars, the more history the better. True entrepreneurial nerd here. When I took over Merkels, I was also running a local diner (hi, Kleifelds!). After much success and having my daughter, it was time to focus my energy on one place and the studio captured my heart.
What I love about my job is meeting incredible couples and getting to celebrate their love, solving problems, and creating systems and processes, and of course… making magic with the floral!
